2. Subscription Refunds — Flexible, Transparent, Fair

Understanding Your Refund Rights: GoTutify subscriptions are designed to be risk-free. Whether you choose monthly, quarterly, or annual plans, you maintain full control over your investment with clear, predictable refund terms.

Within 30 Days of First Purchase — Full Refund:

  • Receive 100% refund of all subscription fees paid
  • Access continues through the end of your current billing cycle
  • No cancellation penalties or hidden charges
  • Simple request process through your account dashboard

After 30 Days — Cancellation Without Penalty:

  • No refund for past subscription periods (standard industry practice)
  • Cancel immediately — no further charges will be applied
  • Access continues through the end of current billing cycle
  • Reactivate your subscription anytime without restrictions

Annual Plan Holders: Annual subscriptions receive full refunds within the first 30 days only. After this period, you can cancel to stop future charges, but past payments are non-refundable. Learn more about becoming a tutor or contacting us for questions.


3. Session Cancellations — Flexibility Without Penalty

Life Happens — Schedule Changes Are Expected: We built our cancellation policy around real-world flexibility. Students shouldn't lose money due to unavoidable conflicts, and tutors deserve advance notice for their planning.

Student Cancellation Policy:

  • 48+ Hours Before Session: Get full refund of session credits or fees immediately
  • 24-48 Hours Before Session: Receive 50% refund, with remainder applied as credit for future sessions
  • Less Than 24 Hours: No refund, but reschedule your session once without additional charge
  • No-Show Without Notice: Session fee forfeited (prevents abuse while protecting tutors' time)

Tutor Cancellation Policy:

When tutors cancel, students are protected. You receive a full refund plus one complimentary credit to rebook with any tutor. Repeated cancellations result in account suspension to maintain platform reliability.

4. Refund Process

How to Request a Refund:

  1. Log in to your GoTutify account
  2. Go to "Billing" or "Account Settings"
  3. Click "Request Refund" or "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Provide a reason for your refund request (optional but helpful)
  5. Submit your request

Processing Timeline:

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 2-3 business days
  • Once approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method
  • Actual refund appearance depends on your financial institution (5-10 business days typically)

Refund Status: You can track your refund status in your account dashboard under "Transactions" or "Refunds".


5. Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel Your Subscription:

  • Go to "Account Settings" → "Subscriptions"
  • Click "Cancel Subscription"
  • Confirm cancellation
  • Your subscription will cancel at the end of the current billing cycle

Immediate Cancellation: If you want to cancel immediately and receive a partial refund, you can request this via email to support@gotutify.com. Eligibility depends on your purchase date and remaining subscription period.

Reactivation: You can reactivate a cancelled subscription at any time. Any promotional credits or discounts applied to your previous subscription may not carry over to a new subscription.


6. Partial Refunds

In certain cases, we may issue partial refunds:

  • Mid-Cycle Cancellation: Prorated refund for unused portion of subscription (calculated from cancellation date to end of billing cycle)
  • Service Disruption: Prorated refund if platform downtime prevented you from using services (≥4 hours)
  • Tutor No-Show: Full session fee refund + 1 free credit

Proration Calculation: Partial refunds are calculated as: (Remaining Days / Total Days in Billing Cycle) × Subscription Fee


7. Non-Refundable Items

⚠️ Important: The following items are generally non-refundable:

  • Subscription fees paid after 30 days of initial purchase
  • Session fees for "No-Show" on the student's part (students had 24 hours notice)
  • Promotional discounts or gift cards already used
  • Accounts terminated due to violation of Terms & Conditions
  • Course materials or downloadable resources after access has been granted
  • Custom session packages (non-standard bookings)

8. Disputes & Appeals

If you believe a refund was denied unfairly or have a dispute with our refund decision, you can appeal:

How to File an Appeal:

  1. Email support@gotutify.com with "Refund Appeal" in the subject line
  2. Provide your account details and transaction ID
  3. Explain your reason for appealing the decision
  4. Attach supporting documentation if available

Appeal Review:

  • Appeals are reviewed by our Refund Team within 5 business days
  • You'll receive a response via email with the final decision
  • Decisions are final and binding
